Woke up this morning, and as usually I had new software to download and install through updater on Ubuntu 10.04. So I click install updates and about halfway through updating it stops. No apparent reason, but the windows is frozen and cannot be closed.
After a quick search on the Ubuntu forums and a look at man apt-get, there appears to be a fix.
sudo apt-get install --fix-broken
I also remember that another time I had a problem with missing dependencies. The fix for this is also very similar.
sudo apt-get install --fix-missing
If you are having problems with the apt-get command, for what ever reason, the first place you should go, even before google, is running the following code in the terminal
man apt-get
This particular manual page is extensive, with many solutions for just about in problem. Add a comment if you have any questions or problems.

As far as I am aware wordpress.com shouldn’t have any issues. It may that your browser is causing the issues. I recommend using either firefox, chrome or safari.
Otherwise wordpress.com maybe having troubles with DDOS attacks again as they suffered some server downtime last week.
I am sorry that my site had troubles for you, unfortunately there is nothing i can do as I have no control over it.
